Does any one still remember the Samsung Galaxy R I9103 ? This device quickly went without any official news just like the Galaxy Nexus device. Galaxy R is the next best phone next to Galaxy S phone in terms of features included in the device. The device is taken by the Samsung as it failed to meet the hardware requirements and the equal amount was given to every consumer who returned the device to Samsung. Although, there might be some device holders whose are happy with it & their phone works perfectly. For them here comes a good news that Android ICS has will arrive very soon.
Heading back to news in May this year, Samsung has included Galaxy R device for the Android 4.0 update by confirmation on their Facebook page. The Samsung Galaxy R coming out with one of the biggest update of the device to the software might not be a big news for everyone.
The Korean giant has released the availability of Android 4.0 ICS for Samsung Galaxy R and this news is not that big as should be covered via the official release by Samsung. Unlike all the major updates goes through OTA or via the Samsung KIES, this is the rare instant where the XDA member gave his device for repair at Samsung service center in Sweden. When getting back the device, he was surprised to see the device running on the Android 4.0.4 the latest version of Android next to Jelly Bean.
Going through the enhancements & improvements included, it might include advanced data management, face unlock feature and new user interface. The device is spotted with 4.2 inches capacitive touchscreen display with 222 ppi pixel density and powered with dual core 1 Ghz Cortex A9 processor with ULP Ge Force powering the Graphical acceleration. Its was previously seen with Android 2.2 Gingerbread OS and now Android 4.0 has arrived. Its equipped with 1650 mAh battery and this comes with 5 mega pixel camera on the rear side with auto focus and LED flash. The device sports 8 GB of internal storage capacity with 1 GB of RAM and 2 GB of ROM.
Lets hope that this update is been pushed to the users via Samsung KIES and the OTA update as well.
