The Samsung Galaxy S III is the king of Android smart phone right now and the device achieves a new height as it has gone past 20 million handsets sale within 100 days of its launch. Galaxy S III is among the first eligible smart phone by the Korean giant to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.
You might be aware that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was introduced when Google Nexus 7 tablet was announced during the Google I/O summit.

How to Update
This update to Samsung Galaxy S III can be pushed to device by OTA or via the KIES too. This update has been pushed in Poland right now and it will reach the rest of Europe in coming days. For other countries we will update you on this when it arrives.
Updating via OTA: When you prefer to update this with the OTA, then you should ensure that you are connected to the internet via the Wi Fi and also ensure that you have 50 % battery life and also ensure that you have taken the back up of your device. From your device go through Menu > Settings > About Phone > Software Update and then tap on Check Now to update your device. Once that is done your phone will be restarted automatically and the updates will be applied.
Updating via KIES: When you are updating your device the Samsung KIES, you should connect your device to the PC where Samsung KIES is installed with the latest software. The KIES will automatically guide you through the instructions and follow the same to apply it.
