Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro with 5″ FHD display, Snapdragon 410 SoC Launched in China

The South Korean handset maker, Samsung has unveiled a new Galaxy J-series smartphone in China with basic-level specifications, which is called as Samsung Galaxy J3 pro. The handset has now listed on Company’s Official Website and is selling exclusive through Local carrier China Telecom and will be available other markets as well. As of now, there is no information about the availability outside of China. It will come in Grey and Gold color variants and priced at 990 Yuan (approx Rs. 10090 / $150). In March 2016, The company also launched the Galaxy J3 (2016) handset that came with S Bike mode and is priced at Rs. 8990.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro smartphone sports a 5.0-inch Super AMOLED FHD display that offers 401 PPI of pixel density and has a Corning Gorilla Glass protection. While in the Galaxy J3 (2016) has the same screen size but came with HD resolution. Under the hood, it comes powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocks at 1.2 GHz paired with Adreno 306 Graphics. In the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) shipped with the Spreadtrum chipset. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS, Micro USB 2.0, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.1 and 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a 16 GB internal storage which will be further expandable up to 128 GB with the support of microSD card slot and 2GB RAM. On the camera section, it bears an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash which will record video up to 1080p and a 5-megapixel front snapper for taking selfies and video chats.

The battery capacity on this handset is at 2600 mAh which is the same battery was present in Galaxy J3 (2016). It measures 142.2 x 71.3 x 8 mm of dimensions and 139 grams. Recently, Samsung has launched two smartphones in the Galaxy J Series in India named as Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016), and the pricing of the devices are Rs. 13990 and Rs. 15990 respectively. The company will also looking to launch a new Galaxy Note series smartphone in August. It might be called as Samsung Galaxy Note 7 handset that will come with dual Edge display and biometric authentication feature.
