Samsung Galaxy W [Wonder] Launched in Taiwan at NT$10,900 with Papago Navigation Software

Samsung Galaxy W TaiwanThe Samsung Galaxy W which was announced in the Samsung IFA event 2011 at Berlin on September 2, 2011 apart from various other Samsung mobile phones like Galaxy Note, Galaxy M Pro, Galaxy Y Pro and few more to add to the list.

Taiwan would be the first country to get the Samsung Galaxy W mobile phone with a rebranded name of Galaxy W Wonder. As we have gone through the Galaxy W specifications that it would be mid-range mobile phone with 1.4 Ghz processor and 3.7 inches WVGA TFT LCD display screen. This mobile phone is targeted towards the low margin buyers who like to taste Android and the idea behind this move is the success of Galaxy Ace mobile which got good acclaim from many users. Additionally this phone is a killer with 14.4 Mbps HSDPA support, includes the option of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi tethering, good enough 5 mega pixel camera, GPS, AllShare and 1500 mAh rechargeable battery.

Along with 5 mega pixel rear facing camera with LED flash it also includes secondary VGA camera for video chat and voice calls. It also includes 4 GB internal memory and a microSD card slot providing 32 GB of external storage. The music player in this mobile comes alive with SoundAlive. The handset is very portable and light at 111 grams and 11.55 mm thickness.

Promotion is very much ON for Taiwanese users and for those who buy this handset before November 30 will get exclusive goodies like Papago navigation software included in the mobile phone, a bracelet and a chance to win tickets to Samsung parties & events.

Galaxy W would be available with a rebranded name as Samsung Galaxy Wonder in Taiwan at a retail price of NT $ 10,900 and can come cheaper when choosed with a network provider.

    Hi,

    I just bought SAMSUNG W.. I found the information in your web side mentioned that the unit got internal 4 GB memory..Why mine its only 2 GB?

      It is a wonderful budget device, but I wonder if the glass can withstand normal usage. When Samsung doesn’t use Gorilla Glass, they’re only stalling themselves and let Apple to take the lead again just like they screw up the Galaxy S’s LED flash.

      So far, anyone can confirm the glass? Is it Dragontrail (A competitor to Gorilla) or normal glass? I can’t afford to buy a glass and then boom, scratches and cracks.
