The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version update for the Galaxy Note 10.1 is now available in the countries in UK, Spain and the Nordic region including Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The update would be available through the OTA option in the coming days, and if you can wait, do that and just keep hitting the Check Update option in your Note to receive the update over the air, or if you wanted to do the update manually, the update files are available for download too.
It is both Wi-Fi and the 3G models of the Note 10.1 that would receive the update, and the build number for the UK and Nordic is N8000OXXBLJ2, and the update which would finally arrive into the device is the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. The whole list of countries where the updates are being sent, include Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom. We already know what the Android 4.1 update has packed in for most of the devices, but there could be some additions or reduction based on the manufacturer, and there is no changelog as of now that we have been able to find.
One of the expected additions include the Premium Suite upgrade, which includes Multi Window, Air View, Quick Command, Easy Clip, Enhanced Handwriting and lots more. Apart from that, there could be the Google Now with Voice Search too included in the update.
You would need to go Samsung-updates or Sammobile if you are one of those who choose to do the update manually rather than keep waiting for the update to reach the device for the over-the-air updating.
We have earlier explained how you could update your Galaxy Note 10.1 to Official Jellybean 4.1 XXBLJ9 Firmware using the firmware files and a long tutorial. If you feel it’s all risky to do it by yourself, it would be better to wait for the update to roll in, if you are from one of those countries in the UK.
There is no news about any update being available for the Galaxy Note 10.1 N8010 version as of now.
