Even if the Galaxy Note 4 is receiving Android 5.1.1 in Russia, it might be some time before the update is pushed out by carriers in the U.S. and Europe. Earlier on August 14th 2014 : We have been talking about Samsung Galaxy Note 4 since couple of months, even though the launch of this device is just three weeks away, the leaks are still coming. No wonder as it is one of the highly awaited smartphone of this year, which is set to get announcement at IFA Expo in Berlin next month. Although, there is one such juicy leak that particularly has some extensive information.

The popular Indonesian online retailer, erafone, has accidently posted the full specs details about this upcoming Note. The listing obviously shows Note 4 being out of stock, but it does mention a price tag of IDR 9,499,000 that roughly adds as an $817 device.

The full specs sheet of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 includes a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels resolution) Super AMOLED display and will come with two processors, either 2.5 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 805 SoC (SM-N910S) or Samsung’s in-house Octa-core Exynos 5433 (SM-N910C) SoC that consist two Quad-core processors – Cortex A53 and Cortex A57. It will be running on Android 4.4.3 Kitkat out of the box with Samsung TouchWiz UI on top of it.

If this listing proves true at the end, then Note 4 will be the first Android device to pack a 4GB of RAM and will come with three (16/32/64GB) internal storage options, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD slot. On the camera front, the listing states that this next generation Note phone will come with a 16MP sporting an OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) feature.

For the connectivity options, it will have Bluetooth 4.0, MHL 2, and microUSB v3.0, but unfortunately the listing does not mention the battery spec and the dimensions of the device. So, there are still few mysteries to be solved before the actual launch of Note 4.

Earlier – Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to be unveiled on September 3rd (Unpacked Event) – Details

The launch of much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is four weeks away, and still it looks like rumors are not going to stop before the launch. Yet another purported leak suggests that the next generation Note will be much better than the brilliant Note 3. The folks at GSMArena got their hands on with what appears to be the photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

From the looks of it, the Note 4 will be sporting a pretty huge screen along with the thin bezels. The back panel of the device might be plastic sporting a leather texture over it. Though, if you look closely the side frame of the pictured device suggests that the body is going to be metal this time.

A potential heart rate monitor sensor might be installed beside the camera module. There is a stylus hanging on the back of the device, just under the leather back panel. Like Samsung Galaxy S5, a fingerprint scanner might be embedded inside the physical home screen button on the Note 4. The micro USB 3.0 might be present in this device, and since there is nothing covering it, we might not see the similar waterproofing lid over the microUSB.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will most probably be announced in the Unpacked event hosted by Samsung on September 3. And the device will most likely to be available later that month as well.

Good specs but apart from the camera upgrade from 13, to 20 megs with IS, I don’t feel there’s a compelling reason to trade in my sim-free, 6-month-old, excellent Note 3 for this potential Note 4, especially at 800 USD, which will still be marketed at around £700 here in UK.
