Samsung Galaxy Note vs Motorola Droid Razr Mobile Comparison

Comparing Samsung Galaxy Note with Motorola Droid Razr is like comparing two extremes, two different dimensional extremes. Why am I saying this, well one is the biggest Screen Phone from Samsung and the other one is slimmest smart phone in the world right now.

But there is much more than the said features in both of the phones. Both the phones are equipped with the top advancements of the latest technological achievements in the world.  As far as the better phone is concerned, it all depends on the particular user’s requirements and the thickness of his pocket.

What I will do is to single out each Hardware and Software feature from either of the phones and compare them for you, that will not just tell you which is the phone best suited to you but give you the complete info about either of the phones.

CPU and RAM

Galaxy Note has a 1.4GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor whereas the Droid Razr has a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP4430 processor. Both the Smart Phones have a 1GB RAM. Both the handsets are head to head in this section. In both the cases the question of speed is answered in a befitting way.

Galaxy Note takes the lead here with 1.4 GHz Dual Core CPU.

Dimensions and Size

The Galaxy Note is 145.8×82.95×9.65mm in dimension whereas the Droid Razr is 131x69x7.1mm in dimension. Neither of the phones can be called heavy by any means the Galaxy Note is 178g and the Droid is 130g. The difference in the weight is because of the difference in the size and nothing else.

No doubt, Motorola Droid Razr is the winner.

Memory

The Note comes with 16GB internal memory the memory can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD, the Razr comes with 16GB internal memory and a 16 GB pre-installed microSD the removable memory is expandable up to 32GB.

Display

Display, now days, has become a feature that has to be good in any smart phone. As far as our two phones are concerned The Note has a 1280×800 pixel resolution that makes it around 285 pixels per inch, the screen is WXGA HD Super AMOLED (1.024 megapixels). Now, the Droid Razr, it has a Super AMOLED Advanced 4.3 inch display 960×540 pixel resolution that makes it 256 ppi.

No one can beat Galaxy Note here!

Camera

The Galaxy note has 8MP rear camera and a 2Mp front camera, the camera in the handset records full HD videos at 1080P at the speed of thirty frames per second. On the other hand the Droid Razr has a 8MP rear camera and a 1.2 MP front camera. The camera records HD videos at 1080P.

Galaxy note is a little better in this particular segment.

Connectivity

The Galaxy Note has Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/), Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 3.0, micro USB 2.0, USB Host (OTG) 2.0. Whereas the Droid Razr is not lagging behind in the said field; it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, LET connectivity which unreasonably quick. It has a Bluetooth 4.0 and has a USB2.0 port.

Battery

The Note has a li-ion 2500mAh battery that is far superior to the 1780mAh battery of the Droid Razr. This segment, without doubt, goes to the Galaxy Note.

Operating System

The Galaxy Note Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread with Touchwiz UI 4.0 and the Droid Razr also runs the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. In the Operating System segment both the phones are at the same pedestal.

Audio

The Galaxy Note has MP3 AAC, AMR, WMA, WAV, FLAC, OGG. The Note has Music Player with SoundAlive; it has a 3mm ear jack, Stereo FM Radio with RDS. The other phone, Droid Razr has 3D stereo, Home Theater, Live Stage. The speakers have a Bass Punch with equalizer.

Price

In mobile phones price is as important as anything. The Unlocked Droid Razr is available for $799.99 but with a two years Contract you can get the Droid Razr for just $299.99. The Unlocked Galaxy Note comes for $899.

The Verdict

After comparing both the handsets we have come to a conclusion that in spite of costing you an extra 100 bucks the Galaxy Note is still the better choice, not only because it has a bigger form but better features too. The Galaxy Note reigns SUPREME.
