Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 gets New Firmware Update in Germany via OTA & KIES

Samsung devices are the first to get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update and the update for the Galaxy Note N7000 will arrive very soon but not as of now. Earlier today Sprint updated the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S 4G got the love of Jelly Bean in United States.

The Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 users in Germany will be happy to learn that a new update is available on their device and these will come with the latest TouchWiz user interface included in the update. Included in this update are the new features from the Samsung Galaxy S III and Note 2 bringing these two devices capabilities in the older phone to breathe in a new life to the device.Samsung Galaxy Note N7000

This update brings the interface which is same as that of Samsung Galaxy S III and you can see changes in the menu bar itself. The update also includes the options called S Cloud by which you can sync all your settings to Samsung account and also includes bloatware apps like NTV, Lieferheld, ChatOn, myTaxi.

The following are the features and improvements included in the device –

  • New TouchWiz launcher
  • Improved performance
  • Direct Call
  • Lock Screen rotate to camera
  • Resizable Pop up Play
  • New Gallery without Air View
  • Improved and new contact list
  • Supports back up of files to Samsung Account via S Cloud
  • NTV, Lieferheld, ChatOn, myTaxi pre installed

This looks to be pretty much useful update just before the arrival of the Jelly Bean update. These update is currently available for the users in Germany and they can get it via the Over the Air update or using the PC Suite called Samsung KIES.

I got the update yesterday, in Israel but with a sim free Note. Phones bougth via israeli carriers are not getting the updates as per my understanding.

The interface look great. But seems it uses more battery than the previous version.
