Samsung isn’t just planning for sequel of Galaxy Note in the large screen display devices, but a media player by Samsung has surfaced headed for the launch in coming day at IFA 2012 Berlin event. We are talking about Galaxy Player 5.8 which refreshes the Galaxy Player devices with host of interesting features. According to SamsungTomorrow reports Samsung has today officially released the details about the Galaxy Player 5.8 an upcoming media player.

Galaxy Player 5.8 is been promoted by Samsung as the learning device as this has a dedicated educational portal called “Learning Hub”, loaded with variety of educational content. As the name suggest its equipped with 5.8 inches large screen LCD display which is look down by Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note N7000 which has Samsung’s Super AMOLED display. Its provides 960 x 540 pixels resolution and has 1 GB of DDR2 RAM. Its pixel density is worked out to be only 190 ppi which means that it includes just good enough display screen but not the best. It has speaker grilles and the menu button designed just like the Samsung Galaxy S III.
It’s sported with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system for mobiles and this is the best UI for Galaxy Player. As you know that Ice Cream Sandwich is with the minimalistic user interface and introduces several new features like exclusive face unlock feature, data management and lot more. The biggest advantage of Android OS is Google Play Store which is continuously evolving for better edged features like Google Mobiles, Google Books, Google Songs, Google TV and lot more apart from being serving as app central store which provides access to thousands of applications available for free, paid download which includes games, widgets, tools and resources.
This will be the first media player from the Samsung which debuts with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface along with motion UX as well. Its equipped with 3 mega pixel camera on the rear side which surprises us as well. Interestingly you will find front facing camera which can be used for face to face video chat and web conferences as well.
This powered with 2500 mAh high capacity battery which ensure that you don’t run out of battery all the time and for wireless transfer of files it includes Bluetooth 4.0. This player in South Korea will feature T-DMB mobile television using the Mobile Digital Natural Engine technology. This includes Wi Fi internet connectivity along with Wi Fi tethering option as well. This also includes HDMI connectivity, micro USB port, and GPS
This device is not on the lighter side as it has 10.8 mm thickness, we doubt many will complaint about it and weights 223 grams.

Galaxy Player 5.8 is available in available in two variants of internal storage capacity of 16 Gb and the 32 GB. Interestingly the design of Galaxy Player 5.8 looks to be the mix of Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note 10.1 as expected. This will be available in the choice of black or the white variants. With this addition, Galaxy Player series will have Galaxy Player 3.6 and Galaxy Player 70 apart from Galaxy Player 5.8 for choice to the users.
We are still awaiting for the official words on the exact processor details and the launch event is still unknown. Though we can blindly say that Samsung has scheduled it for the IFA 2012 launch which is just couple of days away from now.
