Samsung India for the summer has announced two new handsets in the Indian budget minded market. Expanding the Galaxy series of smartphones lineup in India, Samsung has introduced Galaxy S Advance and the Galaxy Pocket. Going through the specifications of these smartphones, Galaxy S Advance is a high end smartphones and Galaxy Pocket will be an entry level smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Pocket
Galaxy Pocket is an entry level smartphone and will bring more cheer to the 70 % Indian budget minded as this smartphones comes just priced higher than Galaxy Y at Rs 8,150. The phone has 2.8 inches display screen and it’s important to mention that its comes with 3G support. It’s powered with 832 Mhz processor to handle the multiple operations together and 3 GB internal memory.
The internal memory can be expanded using the micro SD card supporting up to 32 GB in size. The device thickness stands at 11.9 mm and it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and includes 2 mega pixel rear side camera to take photos and the videos. Samsung Galaxy S Advance
Samsung S Advance spotted at Mobile World Congress, finally now arrives in India. The Samsung Galaxy Advance is not just advance on style but also advance on power. This comes with 4 inches WVGA Super AMOLED display as spotted on the most of the high end smartphones and it’s powered with dual core 1 GHz processor and this is truly a super phone for all the Samsung Galaxy lovers. It comes with 5 mega pixel camera at the rear side to record HD videos at 720p and takes photos and the front facing camera has 1.3 mega pixel quality which is a serious improvements. This comes with the mat finish at the back unlike earlier phones of the Samsung Galaxy which comes with the plastic cover. This will include the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system of the scratch and no announcement from Samsung whether they will include this handset for the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update.
It has 768 MB of RAM, micro SD card slot and 1500 mAh battery which provides good enough battery backup. Samsung S Advance will be priced at Rs 26,900 which is just Rs 1,000 less than the Samsung Galaxy S II.
