Well, I think they are both great phones. I had a SII and then had to decide if going to the iPhone 5 or S3. Ended up with the new iPhone. Why, only one thing and that is the iPhone works seamless with other devices (apple products) and doesn’t crash. I was forever having to reboot or remove the battery out of the Samsung. And yes do resets and monitored apps. Otherwise both good

I’d got an Iphone 4 and I wanted to test S3. Now I’m using iPhone ’cause is more easy to use for me. My little hands don’t arrive to the S3′ far letters in the keyboard. Need to use two hands when with the iPhone terminal only I need one.
About battery, iPhone, 2 days; s3, not a complete day.

Call me cheap, call me practical.

I have an SGH-i727 Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. I am just now exploring fun with NFC. I secured this on contract for $20.00. When the contract runs out? I will just have to see what the best deal going is. Looks like it may be a refurb GS3, as there is no clue what GS4 will be like.

Just don’t call me late for supper.

Still s3 is better because the firmware modifications are many. Not only s3, but htc one x is even better than iphone 5. Iphone 5 is like apple pressed the iphone 4 and launched it just like we press oir clotjes daily. I have seen no change in look except the slim size. SAMSUNG AND HTC ROCKS..

Definitely ill go for S3 not for iphone… why Apple did not mentioned the radiation value for the new device? i am sure that the S3 is much better with a far lower radiation rate …

Did you test n experience the speed of iPhone 5 and galaxy S3? How can you say that iPhone is faster than galaxy s3?
Read the specs of iPhone 5, it says twice faster than previous phone i.e., iPhone 4s not the S3. Again, apple didn’t reveal the actual processor specs though they said it’s A6 chip. Read gsmarena news, They have expresesed their doubts on A6 chip in conjunction with LTE connectivity in iPhone 5. Time will only tell the truth. No doubt that build quality is good, but user interface is boring on iOS compared to Android. Apps for iPhone are mostly paid. iPhone is costly, they are not launching the phone in India on the same day when it’s being released in USA and Europe. Apple do you think Indians can’t buy high priced products. Yes Indians are not crazy to buy phone just because of brand, we don’t buy high priced paper weights, we buy phones with high specs at a reasonable price like Sony xperia s, galaxy note 2, galaxy s3 and HTC one x. When apple is ignoring Indians at first launch then why should we buy apple products.

One other thing is that the Samsung or any other Android phone is customizable in many ways, iphone is not at all. Android is not locked to one company like iphone is to Apple

Purchased a new Samsung Galaxy S3. When checked , the main camera is not working Took to Service Center. They tried all tricks. Finally they said that either the camera is faulty or the board is faulty. Refused to replace with a new set, They said they will repair and give. Still waiting. I am planning to go to Consumer Court. It is very clear that the product was not checked before it left the factory, It is only big media hype. No proper customer care or service. The new Phone I bought for nearly 40000 Rupees is going to opened and repaired even before using. Very Very Smart Phone indeed.

Samsung galaxy s2 & s3 are the best phones available in the market+points are sd card, amoled screen but so far as connectivity and software upgrades are concerned,it is disappointing.

Regarding the problem Mr.Gigi Joseph facing, Dear you should shoot a file in consumer court and I assure you, certainly you will waste some time but this will not be for will be happy after the outcome.
Money doesn’t not grow on the tree.I suggest you please without any hesitation go to the consumer court.
Rs.40000.00 for a mobile is not a small amount.
Whoever goes to the consumer court never regrets.

    Well having owned a iPhone 4S, Lumia 800 & 3 weeks ago purchased the S3 ( i9300 international model).
The phone I love is the S3 as it has a larger screen. Swipe keyboard, leaves pressing each button for dead and it 100 times faster to type etc than old way of typing. Having arthritis, swipe is a BIG bonus for me.

Camera is better than iPhone 5 as it has better quality & photo editing choices are great. Burst mode for action shots is great as I also do sport photography for football & netball it allows me to get “that photo”.
iPhone need more colours as white / black get boring after a while.
iPhone missing NFC, FM Radio and a big miss is the option to block caller from OS with out a 3rd party app doing it as even 3rd party apps do not work in some countries.
iPhone Nano sim will cost more to make so current iPhone owners need to factor $30 – $40 for a new Nano sim (Apple proprietary) as old ones will not work. No DNLA connectivity & S3 has a better front facing camera. iPhone missing External SD card, however on S3 you can not move some apps to external SD card so this can be annoying. ALso the silly new non industry standard connector, OMG how silly Apple again going off playing tennis when every other phone company is playing soccer.

So for me the S3 has more usable features, feels great in hand, screen is just as good as retina display.
Weigh up your needs NOT what a sales person tells you.

vote is definitely for Samsung (Designed for Human). This time Apple has tried to follow the expectations. However freedom of use is more important. If Apple comes to India will find the reality what people prefer. I don’t t hesitate to ditch iPhone for Samsung Galaxy S III or HTC ONE X. There is nothing new in iPhone 5 for me that carve me for it. So best wishes to Apple for next time. Beauty is everywhere not only iOS is now HTC’c overlay is really beautiful. I have S3, OneX and 4S and BB9900, and mostly using S3 & OneX while 4S remains silent due to lack of features these Android Monsters are having with total freedom.

I just want to say specs on the iPhone are not why I love the iPhone so much it’s the fact that you can multi task great with an iPhone and the apps are the best. I don’t need a super big screen I just need a modern phone that looks how a modern phone should look. I won’t even mention the fact that iPhones and iPads have apps that run in sync with eachother. What other company does that. To me iPhone is a no brainer for anyone.

Except for S3 lacking in connectivity speed … It completely beats iphone5 in features
Its has got a bigger screen, better front camera, better screen resolution, SD card support, NFC, FM radio… N top of all consists all the features that iphone5 has
So the only thing that remains worth watching is ios6

maybe around 45,000 is what i am expecting the price of the new iphone 5 to be. Which phone are u using at the moment?

    • Mudrat

      September 13, 2012 at 2:52 pm

Very expensive $$$$$ see Samsung has 12.7% of 4G / LTE patents, LG & Nokia have same combined.
Since Samsung has not signed any licences with Apple to use their technology the law suites will be coming fast, expect sales bans, import bans and the like from Samsung , LG & others. So factor in another $30 – $60 on price depending on model you chose to cover royalties for the patents stealing.

Will chose GLS3 over Iphone, first because it microsim over nanosim, it’s hard for us to cut down the normal sim to be a nanosim (you have to buy nanosim, not normal and trim to – damn Apple). Second, I like the new feature of GLS3. Don’t see anything friendly with customers like them in Iphone5.
    But if I have a chance to change from my GLS2 4GLTE, I’ll chose Galaxy Note2 over GLS3 ๐Ÿ˜€

What the fuzz about the I phone when the galaxy S3 is miles ahead of it in every specification? I feel the whole court case drama is for I phone to control the smart phone market, but they just shot themselves on the foot cos asia is still the largest market and that where Samsung is from. I won’t be surprise if the whole of asia agrees that they have to use only gadget from the orient.

iPhone5 is not at all impressive apart from 4inch screen and little slimmer. Nothing new in smartphone market, apple could have delivered still better specs than samsung galaxy s3. Now, I am sure, android phones are going to rock the world in 2012-13.
