Samsung Galaxy S III is such a big hit that small thing about this smart phone in any part of the world approaches to masses. One holding this device is just waiting for the Jelly Bean update but there is no deadline for it. From Android Advices team, we can only say that the update to Jelly Bean is scheduled for October month only. Until then minor updates might come in, one such was received for AT & T users in United States.
Owners of Samsung Galaxy S III on AT & T network will see software update available on their device from September 19, 2012. This isn’t the update to Android 4.1 but it’s a minor update with a file size of up to 82 MB. This update is been pushed to the users via the Over the Air update and it will not take much of your time to install it. We see some of new features added like the introduction of brightness slider in the notification dropdown and also introduces the VPN and enterprise security enhancements as reported by the users who have updated with it. Overall this is a pretty low feature rich update.
Still the update is based on the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and we might see Jelly Bean update coming out soon in early first week. This update brings the built number as UCALH9.
So if you are an AT & T Galaxy S3 customer then grab the latest firmware on your device now by going through the Settings> About Device > Software Update and then finally tap on Check for Updates.
