Earlier we got the news of Samsung pushing out the Snapdragon 805 processor and QHD display to its Galaxy S5 and now the company has unveiled the new variant of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A. This device will be supporting the LTE –Advanced and the ultra fast data speeds and moreover it will be a device with most hardware packed device that is available in the market now.
The next noticeable feature here is the 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display that will be coming with the 2560 x 1440 resolutions providing a pixel density of 576ppi. The South Korean giant, Samsung also claims that the display will be covering 90% of the color gamut, 100,000:1 contrast ratio and also has the 0.01ms response time.
Another boot that this IP67 rates Galaxy S5 LTE-A got is the upgrade to its processor that will be a Snapdragon 805 from Qualcomm that will clock at 2.5 GHz and this is accompanied with an Adreno 420 GPU and 3 GB or LPDDR3 RAM. Qualcomm claims that this chipset was crafted specially for ultra high def era and will be providing high performance.
Most of the other features are same with a 16 MP ISOCELL camera, a heart rate monitor, the fingerprint scanner etc. The battery used to power this monstrous device is at 2800 mAh and will be reaching the speeds of 225 Mbps. If you know the regular Galaxy S5 was sporting a FHD AMOLED display on its 5.1 inch screen and was powered by a Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM.
This device might be the Galaxy S5 Prime that we head earlier about. The device will be coming in Black, White, Gold, Pink, Red and Blue colour variants and since it is announced in the home country of Samsung we are not sure when will this device will come out of Korea if it really happens. The handset is priced at 940,500 South Korean Won that will be roughly around $919.
