It includes 3.15 megapixel camera with auto focus. Even in the low light conditions you can make use of the LED flash to take good enough pictures. 1. I have purchased the Galaxy 8.9 Tab but it will not with G3 and Wi-Fi but it will not let me into the Samsung Apps without a SIM card why?

  2. why the back camera and front camera is lower megapixel why you don’t develop higher megapixel in the back camera like 10.1 and 5 megapixel to the front camera for better performance and a full hd so you make a higher point to ipad2.

  3. Hi guys!
Am with ray is it possible to get full confirmation on Samsung galaxy tab 8.9″ 3g if it can make voice calls/phone calls and text massaging?pls! I would love to get the feed back as soon as possible before I make the mistake and regret later! cheers

    • i have gotten the 3g 16gb version that comes with honeycomb 3.1.

it can send and receive text message and seems to have ability to handle mms too. but i have not tried mms yet.

voice calls… unless it’s skype or equivalent.
i have been researching but i cannot make gsm voice calls and i dont think it’s not an issue with dialer. unless i install it wrongly or the apk i downloaded is crapped – i have managed to get hold of go contacts ex apk and installed it (since android market indicates that it’s not compatable with 8.9 and wont let me install). when i dial, i can select to “complete call” with go contacts…. nothing happens after that.

now i’m trying to research if it’s a firmware issue…

  4. *It features a SIM slot which can accommodate a regular size 2G or 3G SIMs which would finally take an edge over its serious competition from Apple iPad 2 tablet. You can do voice call over 2G and video call on 3G network available on this tablet, not available in Motorola Xoom or Apple iPad.*

Would like to double confirm that it really can make voice call and text messaging? As i was told that it’s same as tab 10.1 that is not able to make voice call and text messaging. Thank you.

    • The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 3G tablet supports 3G HSDPA of up to 21 Mbps and HSUPA connectivity apart from WiFi. The normal WiFi version is too available. Generally its priced higher than the WiFi version.

  5. Really it have Tegra 2 processor? Not Exynos like Galaxy S2? Because Tegra 2 chipset have bluetooth 2.1 not 3.0….can you try some tegra 2 games like galaxy on fire 2?

Can you serious battery test with nonstop videoplayback like do engadget?
