Good news for all the AMOLED fans that there might be a Galaxy tablet with AMOLED display next month that will have a 10.5 inch screen. There hasn’t been an AMOLED screen tablet from Samsung from long time now, last being the Galaxy Tab 7.7.
Early this month the Korean media reported that Samsung was working with, 8 inch and 10 inch tablets with AMOLED displays and at least one among these is expected to get released next year along with Samsung’s own Galaxy S5. It is also expected that the 10.5 inch AMOLED display tablet could be announced as early as January in Las Vegas.
We heard this rumor many times about Samsung’s plans to introduce the AMOLED display tablets, but reportedly going to be used only on high end Samsung tablets which indicates that this tablet will be a high end device. Reports says that Samsung is expecting to sell as many as ten times the 500,000 units that were sold by the last AMOLED tablet that was seen ( Tab 7.7)
Nothing more is known about this rumored tablet yet, but hope full to see it soon in early 2014. This tablet would be coming in to the market as a rival to the Apple’s iPad Air. Even though the Tab 7.7 didn’t hit the market on high, we are expecting this 10.5 inch tablet will have a high in the market.
Earlier the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 came with a 7.7 inch Super AMOLED plus capacitive touch screen with 16M colors with 800 x 1280 pixels giving 196 ppi pixel density. It also featured a 3.15 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. It was powered with a Dual core 1.4 Ghz Cortex-A9 processor.
Something similar is expected from the Tab which is coming next year with 10.5 inch AMOLED display with much more advanced hardware and software features. So are excited to see this 10.5 inch AMOLED display tablet? Or are you going to stick with the LCD display itself? Comment in the comments section and be updated regularly.
