We saw Samsung announcing its new wearable devices in the last week at the MWC 2014 event. The Gear Fit was the device which attracted many people. This Gear Fit comes with a curved AMOLED touch screen rectangular display but it does not possess a microphone or a speaker as the Gear 2 and the New has.
The Samsung Gear 2 and Samsung Gear 2 Neo run on Tizen operating system and the Samsung Gear Fit runs on Android Operating system. The pricing of these devices were not mentioned in the even when they were unveiled, but now SamMobile claims that the pricing of these device out and according to them the Gear 2 will be coming at the same price as the older Galaxy Gear, that was a bit disappointment considering its price range of €299. Even this successor is priced at the same price which is very disappointing.
The Samsung Gear Neo is priced at €199 and so does the Samsung Gear Fit. We can assume these devices to be priced in the similar range in the US market also. We have not seen an official announcement for the company till now so we cannot take this price as the final pricing.
Earlier we saw the Samsung Gear Fit was mainly targeted on fitness of the users and it includes a real time fitness coach to help the user to know their fitness regime and alerts them to speed up or slow down. All these data will be measured in real time and the heart rate results will be synched with Samsung’s S Health app that can be found on Galaxy Smart phones. This is a 1.84 inch Curved Super AMOLED display with IP67 certification and will be available on April 11th along with the company’s latest flagship Samsung Galaxy S5.
