Samsung to launch Galaxy Note 7, Note 7 Edge with Dual Edge display in August

The South Korean giant, Samsung will be going to launch a new Galaxy Note series smartphones in coming months. It might be called as Galaxy Note 7 (skipping Galaxy Note 6) with SM-N930 and Galaxy Note 7 Edge with SM-N935G. The Model number SM-N935G suggests SM for Samsung, N for Note series, 93 number for this year code and finally 5 for Edge device. The company had introduced first Note Edge variant in 2014, named as Samsung Galaxy Note Edge that came with curved Edge screen.

According to rumors, The Galaxy Note 7 smartphone will be coming with dual edge display and Iris Scanner, which will also be the first smartphone with the biometric authentication. Firstly, Iris Scanner feature has seen on the Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris Tablet. The design of the Note 7 smartphone will be similar to Galaxy Note 5 except Super AMOLED screen. The Fingerprint sensor will be equipped with the home button for unlocking the device and in the bottom edge, it has a USB port, speakers, 3.5 mm audio jack, and stylus pen.

While talking about the rumored specifications on the Note 7 device includes, it features the 5.7-inch display which is the same screen present on Note 5 smartphone. Under the hood, it might come powered by Snapdragon 823 SoC which is the upgraded version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, and the same Snapdragon 823 might present in Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone will be launching in the Philippines this August.

It will come in 32GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB storage options which might be expandable via microSD card slot and 6GB RAM. The handset will measure 153 x 74.5 x 7.8 mm of dimensions while Note 5 has a 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm ( just difference will be 0.2 mm thickness). The company will also be coming with the USB Type-C 3.1 which will support the fast charging; earlier device came with Micro USB port. Recently, Samsung has launched Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones in India.
