Samsung had recently launched Galaxy S7 Active smartphone in the USA by AT&T and priced at $799 (approx. 53000) and in the same month, the company has unveiled Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro smartphone in China with a price tag of 990 Yuan (approx. Rs. 10090 / $150). Now, Samsung has announced another smartphone in the Galaxy series smartphone named as Samsung Galaxy J3 V. It is the enhanced version of the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) smartphone that was launched last year at Rs. 8990 in India. The new handset has similar specifications of Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) except that storage, software and camera sensors.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 V smartphone sports 5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen with 1280 x 720-pixel resolution and offers a 294ppi of pixel density. Under the hood, it comes powered by quad-core processor clocks at 1.2 GHz with unknown chipset; we may except, it might come with a Spreadtrum SC7731 SoC paired with Mali 400 GPU. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE network. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, Micro USB port, and 3.5 mm audio jack. The handset houses a 16GB internal memory while on Galaxy J3 (2016) has an 8GB built-in memory. It can be further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card slot accompanied by 1.5GB RAM.
On the camera department, it sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear sensor with LED flash while on j3 (2016) features an 8MP Image Sensor. It can record videos up to 1080p at 30 frames per second and in the front, it has a 2-megapixel secondary camera for capturing selfies and video calling. The device is packed with a same 2600mAh capacity battery available on Samsung Galaxy j3 (2016). It can deliver a talk time upto 22 hours and standby time up to 349 hours.
The handset measures 142.2 x 71.3 x 7.9 mm of dimensions and weight is around 140 grams. It will be available in Gold, White, and Black color variants and priced at $168 (approx. Rs. 11268). It will start the pre-order from today and will be available in all retailer stores in coming days.
