New Samsung S Band Activity Tracker Leaked as Accessory to Galaxy S5 – Details

Samsung is concentrating more on its wearable’s these days as we have seen earlier in the MWC 2014, that Samsung has come up with many wearable devices like the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit, later a there was another wearable called as S-Circle that was spotted at the FCC (Federal Communication Commission) that will be coming with Bluetooth support for connecting it to the Smart phones. Now the company has coming up with New Samsung S Band.

Like the S-Circle the new S Band is also an activity tracker that will be released this year along with many other wearable devices. The Samsung S band was announced last year also but it was not launched in the market. This S band can be released as a fitness accessory for the company’s latest flagship model, the Galaxy S5 and few other Smart phones. This New S Band doesn’t seem to have a wide or proper display unlike the Gear Fit which had a large and curvy display that would sit perfectly on your wrist.

The S Band helps in monitoring your daily activity that includes calories and distance and also the sleep quality. The S band connects to the Activity Tracker app and also with the S Health on the Smart phone and sends all the data collected to it so that the user can track them. Like many other wearable device we can set challenges and accomplish them using this S Band tracker. More over this S Band will be coming in multiple color variants (straps) so that user can have the choice of getting their favorite colour.

The user can get the call or message notification while their Smart phone is far from them and this tracker provides another feature by vibrating both the S band and the Smart phone when you’re Smart phone and the tracker are apart over 10m. This gives more protection and you can come out of the fear of loss (either smart phone or S Band).

We don’t have the launch details and pricing of the device but we can expect this device to be priced lower than the Gear fit and other wearable devices in the market. Stay tuned for more information and updates.
