If you don’t have a rooted phone, MyBackup, which has both a free and a PRO version is excellent and much better in terms of reliability.

I have changed 3 Android phones in the past 1 year (Sony Xperia -to- Samsung Galaxy S -to- Samsung Galaxy S2 and ech time the transition has been painless.

In the case of the Galaxy S2, I had everything – My Contacts, My Calender, My Apps with all the settings, the phone tethering, the Wifi, bluetooth settings all migrated in exactly 30mns from purchase.

    Strongly recommend MyBackup PRO.
