Sharp Announces Infobar C01 Android SmartPhone on KDDI

Spotted in the KDDI online store is the upcoming smartphone called Infobar C01 manufactured by Sharp. Introduced in the series of IIDA in the line of KDDI, is the InfoBar C01 mobile phone available in three colors and as spotted manufactured by Sharp. For some reasons we don’t see Sharp coming up in the international arena and it’s very strong in Japan.

The InfoBar C01 is 3.2 inches FWVGA display screen phone with a maximum resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. As seen on the image of the of InfoBar ranges of mobile phone it includes a numeric keypad at the bottom along with Infobar and this reminds us of previously used bar type phones. With keypad designed in such format, it provides comfortable one hand operation with light weight body. The phone comes with 8 mega pixel rear side camera and includes various other functions like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR and has the option of DLNA share. Its powered with MSM8655T processor clocked at 1 Ghz.

It’s basically an Android OS powered mobile phone with Android version being Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it comes with pre-installed iida user interface taken from its predecessor Infobar A01 providing a smooth and customizable feel, retaining the launch of applications comfortable base. In addition to infrared, this handset also supports international roaming facility. It has the form factor of 130 mm x 52 mm x 12.3 mm and it weights around 106 grams. The phone is available in various colors of Nishikigoi, Ichimatsu and also introduces new color Kiiro.

Its powered with 1020 mAh battery with 370 minutes of voice usage time and around 350 hours of standby time. It supports wireless charging of the devices along with micro SD card slot supporting 32 GB of storage externally. It comes with bilingual capability of Japanese and English language mode.

This handset is only available in Japan with free limited accessories like covers and leather cases limited to 1,000 for a price of 9800 yen (United States $ 127). It will be available from February 2012.
