One manufacturer which hasn’t tasted any success with Android smartphones is Dell with their both Dell XCD 35 and XCD 28 going down under wire with no success. Coming to the latest announcement of the Dell Streak Pro 101DL, it has long awaits since it was announced in September last year. It has been 6 months since its announcement and it’s finally going to debut on Softbank network in Japan.
Softbank and Dell are happy to announce Dell Streak Pro 101DL smartphone and going through its specifications one can easily tell that tis a high end smartphone. It’s powered with dual core 1.5 GHz MSM8260 Qualcomm processor CPU. The phone comes with 4.3 inches Super AMOLED qHD display with resolution 540 x 960 pixels as that we have seen in Galaxy series of smartphones of Samsung. It comes with Gorilla Glass display which provides scratch free resistance screen. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of ROM (internal storage) with 4 GB user space allowed. Coming to the camera it has 8 mega pixel camera on the rear side to take photos and videos at 720p HD and 1.3 mega pixel camera on the front which can be used for video chat and video calls.
Along with that this phone is with the dedicated SyncUP Android application which allows users to save the data, photos, videos and music which can be shared with your PC. Just like Dropbox it allows users to provide 2 GB of free data storage which can be linked directly on to your PC via their SyncUP facility. As of now this mobile phone would be made available in black as the primary and the variants of it will be launched.
Its powered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system along with that it comes with pre-installed Google services like Google Maps, Google Mail, Google YouTube and various other free services. Its powered with 1520 mAh battery capacity. Along with that it has functions such as Wi Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and comes with 3G providing HSDPA 14 Mbps speed and HSUPA supporting 5.7 Mbps speed. It comes with 126 (H) x65 about (W) x10.3 (D) mm size along with weight 145 grams.
The phone is priced at 76,500 yen and it will be made available in Japan via Softbank.
