Sony had announced Xperia X and Xperia XA smartphones at MWC in 2016. Today, the company has launched both smartphones in India for Rs. 46990 and Rs. 20990 respectively. These devices will be selling exclusively through Amazon India and pre-registration already opened; it will start the shipping for Sony Xperia X smartphone from June 6th onwards and Xperia XA from 3rd week of June in 2016. It will also be available in all authorized retailer stores and Sony online retailer shops as well. Both devices are running on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Sony Xperia X
The Xperia X smartphone comes with metal body design; it has a dual speaker at the front, and the power button is placed on the right edge of the device that can also act as a Fingerprint sensor. It features 5-inch FHD screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and offers 441PPI of pixel density. Under the hood, it comes packed with 64-bit Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset, which is same available on Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 smartphone. It comes powered by 2620 mAh capacity battery, which will give good battery life with the support of Qnovo Adaptive Charging.
It has a 32 GB inbuilt storage, which can be further expandable via microSD card slot and 3 GB RAM. The handset supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. Cameras are concerned, it sports 23-megapixel primary camera with hybrid autofocus, Exmor RS sensor, and f/2.0 aperture, which is same camera setup we have seen on Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 premium. It has a 13-megapixel front snapper with same f/2.0 aperture for selfie lovers and video chats.
Sony Xperia XA
It flaunts a bezel-less 2.5D curved screen with 5-inch HD display, which offers a 294PPI of pixel density. The Xperia XA comes powered by 64-bit Octa-core processor with MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) chipset accompanied by Mali-T860 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. There is a 16 GB internal storage, which can be expandable upto 200 GB via microSD card slot. It has same connectivity options are used in the Sony Xperia X.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor and Hybrid Autofocus and an 8-mega pixel front shooter with 88-degree wide-angle lens for taking selfies and chatting with friends. It is backed by a 2300 mAh battery, which claims to provide a two days of battery life. It measures 143.6 x 66.8 x 7.99 mm of dimensions and 134.7 grams of weight.
The company hasn’t revealed any information about Sony Xperia X Performance smartphone when it will launch in India. It claims the offer Rs. 2700 worth of premium content for free with the every device; it also suggested Sony SBH70 Headset for free at the time of pre-booking Xperia X Smartphone. It is worth of Rs. 6990.
