So after a drought of Android 4.0 update in the first quarter of 2012, its raining updates to many of the smartphones not only with Samsung devices. After Samsung Galaxy S II update it’s the Sony to make their promises comes true. Today, Sony announced on their Facebook Page that they have started rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to their most eagerly awaited smartphones.
The update is for Xperia Arc, Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo V and Xperia Ray smartphones for consumers in India. This update for above three devices was made available in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and other European countries earlier this month. This update was scheduled for release in the mid March but it has finally arrived after much delay.
Sony’s other qualified device for Android 4.0 ICS pack are Xperia Arc, Xperia Play, Xperia Neo, Xperia Mini, Xperia Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, Xperia Active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is scheduled for release in June but its rescheduled in late Q2 2012.

The Over the Air update would be soon made available but as of now its possible via PC Companion tool only.
