Sony Xperia Ace is a new device from the company that has been announced in Japan along with the Xperia 1 smartphone. The device will be available in Purple, Black, and white color options and is priced at 48,600 yen (USD 444) which will be going for sale via Japanese operator NTT Docomo from 1st of June. The smartphone comes with IPX5 and IPX8 certification for water and dust resistant body.
Well, talking about this compact smartphone from Sony, the device sports a small 5-inch display with Full HD+18:9 aspect ratio and also Sony’s signature Trilluminous Display. Under the hood, the handset is powered with a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 14nm SoC coupled with Adreno 508 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of onboard storage which can be extended further up to a maximum of 512GB via MicroSD card slot.
Out of the box, it will be coming with Android 9 Pie operating system and should be getting further updates when available. This dual SIM variant has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor to enhance the security levels and is powered with a 2700mAh battery with fast charging support. Talking about the cameras, it consists of a 12MP main camera sensor with LED flash along with Hybrid (OIS +EIS) image stabilization. On the front we can find a 8MP selfie sensor.
The Sony Xperia Ace measures 140 mm x 67 mm x 9.3 mm and weighs 154 grams in weight. Furthermore, there is no notch on the display and we can see thick bezels on the top and bottom which looks a bit outdated.
