Sony Xperia E3 and E3 Dual were unveiled at the IFA event that was held few days ago in Berlin, have been launched in India for a price of Rs. 11,990 and Rs. 12990 respectively. These two devices were Sony’s latest addition to their E series. These devices will be featuring same specifications except that the Xperia E3 Dual will be having the support of dual SIM. These will be coming out of the box with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat Operating system.
Sony Xperia E3 and E3 dual will feature a 4.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. These devices will be powered by a quad core Snapdragon 400 (MSMS8226) processor with a clocking speed of 1.2 GHz, coupled with 1 GB of RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. The devices will be having a 2330 mAh battery on the back with STAMINA Mode for better battery backup.
There is a 5 MP rear facing camera that is capable of recording 1080p videos and it is accompanied with 0.3 MP front facing camera. The device not that thin as it is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 144 grams which is manageable. The on-board memory of the device is at 4 GB that can be further extended up to a maximum of 32 GB via microSD card slot. The connectivity option includes 3G, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.
These devices will be coming in to the market targeting the mid range market but with the launch of the Android One devices in India for Rs. 6399 with similar specification we need to see how these devices will be featuring in the market. The Sony Xperia E3 Dual will come in White, Black and Lime colour variants whereas the Xperia E3 will be coming in White and Black colour variants.
