Sony has unveiled the Neo L and the Neo V Android smart phone as the successor of their existing Xperia P, Xperia U and Xperia S smart phones. We know that Xperia Ion was out last year but it was only available for sale in United States via carrier. All the three devices are with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre installed on the device and customers would be happy to see Xperia device pre installed with the latest version of Android (though Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the latest but there is not much different in ICS and Jelly Bean).
Sony Xperia Go ST27i
Sony Xperia Go ST27i is already launched in India since few days and it’s available at various online eStores and at various retailers apart from Sony Store in India. This is a mid-range handsets as seen with 3.5 inches touchscreen display and it would be powered with 1 GHz Cortex A9 dual core processor. With the launch of this device dual core competition in the semi mid-range and mid-range smart phone will go strong.
Xperia Go will include 5 mega pixel camera on the rear side by which you can take photos a splendid quality and video recording at 720p HD as well. This would be seen with 8 GB as the internal memory and it would also include 512 MB of RAM alongside with 32 GB of micro SD card support. The device would be with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and for the Indian version only this will be without Android 4.0 ICS. Latter on there will be Android 4.0 ICS update scheduled for this device.
Xperia Go is available for pre order at Rs 18999 and its would be interesting to see how does this device go with other devices in this price cap like HTC One V, HTC Desire V and LG Optimus L7.
Sony Xperia Ion
Xperia Ion LT28h is a HSPA international version of already available Xperia Ion in United States. The device will be with 4.55 inches capacitive LED backlit LCD screen providing 323 pixel density and 1280 x 720p pixel resolution. It’s powered with Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon dual core processor alongside with Adreno 220 GPU.
It would be seen with 1900 mAh battery and it includes Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The smart phone includes 13.2 GB of internal storage capacity and has 1 GB of RAM. This is certainly a better device as it comes with 12 mega pixel camera providing 4000 x 3000 pixels image capture with auto focus and LED flash. Users can record 1080p full HD videos and it also includes 1.3 mega pixel camera on the front side as well.
Sony Xperia Neo L
Xperia Neo L is launched in succession to Xperia Neo V and this would be with 4 inches LED backlit LCD display. The phone would be powered with 1 Ghz Scorpion processor by Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon and includes Adreno 205 GPU.
Its equipped with 5 mega pixel camera on the rear side providing a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and it includes the feature of auto focus and LED flash. Good thing about this device is that it would be powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed on the device itself.
It would be available in White and Black variants. The phone is spotted with 1500 mAh battery and it’s priced at Rs 20,000.
Additionally all the newly launch devices after this launch by Sony would be coming out with 50 GB of free cloud storage from Box for two years( two years cap might be eliminated in the latter stage).
