The Sony Xperia S smartphone was announced at CES 2012 and until now this device has been the flagship model of Sony up against HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S II but looks like as the competition goes bigger with Samsung Galaxy S III and iPhone 5 set to release pretty soon. We hear the rumour of Xperia Z being the new Android smartphone by Japanese giant. Xperia Z would be a high end smartphone and so it might replace Xperia S as the flagship model at the end of the year.
Sony Xperia Z Smart Phone
As we expect the device would be seen with the OLED display and Qualcomm S4 processor. It would include a better camera than the common 12 mega pixel in Sony devices. The phone would be a PlayStation certified and would be adding Walkman capabilities for which Sony has represented for years. It would be interesting to see what would be the screen size of it and we expect nothing less than 4.5 inches. But let me tell you that nothing has been confirmed as these are just the rumours. The only thing we can say is Xperia Z would be the successor of Xperia S in coming months. The Xperia Z looks to be the first device debuting with second generation of NXT series smartphones by Sony.
Along with Xperia Z various other models like Xperia C, Xperia E and Xperia Y have been rumoured but these devices by Sony would be released by Q3 and Q4 this year. It’s the right for these devices to surface now to make it count in Q3 and Q4. No word has been said by Sony on the price & availability of it at this time. We will update you about this device as we hear more from Sony about it! Stay tuned and we would like you to ask whether Xperia Z would be the successor of Xperia S.
