Sony Xperia Z3+ with 5.2″ full-HD Display, Snapdragon 810 SoC Launched for Rs 55,990

Sony has officially launched the Xperia Z3+ smartphone in India, today. The smartphone has been priced at Rs 55,990 . The company launched the Xperia Z3+ globally last month, and this is the same device that was launched as the Xperia Z4 in Japan. The smartphone will be available to buy from today itself in Aqua Green, Black, Copper, and White colour variants.

The Xperia Z3+ is identical to Japan’s Xperia Z4 in terms of design and specifications. The Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Sony Xperia Z3+ features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Triluminos display and is powered by X-Reality for mobile picture engine. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core (quad-core 1.5GHz + quad-core 2GHz) Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.

Recently, some users reported heating issues on the device. According to some tests conducted by GSMinfo, the new Xperia Z3+ reportedly becomes quite warm when the camera or, any such heavy apps are in use. Later, a pop-up appears on the screen with a warning message that the app will be closed as the temperature of the device is too high.

Sony has acknowledged the overheating issue on Sony Xperia Z3+ smartphone. It responded by saying an update will be released sometime in the summer solving the problem that seems to be affecting a limited number of devices. Until the update becomes public, the manufacturer has recommended consumers who are not satisfied with the Z3+ to contact their nearest Sony service centre.
