Sony Xperia Z3 will be the flagship model of Sony this year, and it was unveiled earlier this month and has been launched few minutes ago. This device will follow the footsteps of its predecessor Xperia Z2 and will be IP67 certified for dust proof and water resistant. Along with the Xperia Z3, a smaller or cheaper version of the devices also showcased called as the Xperia Z3 Compact. The Xperia Z3 will run the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box like all the flagship device of this year, and the screen size is the same at 5.2 inches. The device will be available soon in Black, White, Green and Copper colour variants, giving the users more options to choose from.
Let us compare Xperia Z3 with the flagship models of 2014 from Samsung (Galaxy S5), LG (LG G3) and also with Motorola’s Moto X (2014). It will be interesting to see how these devices will turn up and we all the details of this are given below. The Galaxy S5 is IP67 rated and Motorola Moto X is Splash proof, but LG G3 does not have any of these ratings.
Design and Dimensions
Sony has retained the similar kind of design on its latest flagship device and according to the information we got, the device will be 7.3 mm thick and weigh 152 grams. The device is heaviest out of the four devices, but not by much margin and moreover it is the sleekest device from all.
Sony’s offers TRILUMINOS and Live Color LED technologies for its Xperia Z3. X-Reality image processing is also featured to the device to enhance photos and videos played on-screen. The device features a glass front and back and a metallic frame on the sides giving it a royal look.

In-terms of the display size, the LG G3 has the biggest screen size of these four and also has the highest pixel density of 534 because of its higher 2K resolution. The other three devices have the same resolution also similar pixel densities. The Xperia Z3 uses a Shatter proof glass for protection and the other three devices in the list uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

All the devices in the list run the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system and are powered by the same Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processors with same clocking speeds. The Galaxy S5 and Moto X (2014) will be coming with 2 GB of RAM, whereas the LG G3 come in 2 GB or 3 GB variant. Xperia Z3 comes out of the box with 3 GB of RAM making it powerful enough. The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) used in all the four devices is Adreno 330.

Camera / Storage
Easily the Sony Xperia Z3 has the best camera of the lot at 20.7 MP whereas the second best will be Samsung Galaxy S5 a 16 MP. LG G3 and Moto X have same cameras at 13 MP. The front facing cameras are almost similar in all the devices, so there is nothing much to differentiate. As these are the high-end devices, we can expect them to record 4K videos also.
All the four devices are available in 16 and 32 GB variants according to their locations. And will also be supporting 128 GB of external memory via microSD card, except for Moto X that lacks an microSD card slot.

All the four devices have the connectivity of 4G LTE as they are the flagship models of this year for their respected companies. The Xperia Z3 has the biggest battery of the lot at 3100 mAh and Moto X has the minimum at 2300 mAh. The battery on the Xperia Z3 is non-removable, whereas in LG G3 and Galaxy S5 it is removable.

We would be eagerly waiting to lay our hands on the Xperia Z3, but the device is not yet available for sale. We will be covering all the news surrounding the Xperia Z3.
