Sprint Galaxy S II Epic 4G Gets Android 4.0 OTA Update

Sprint is now seriously back of quickly updating the existing Android devices apart from top end devices updates. Yesterday we saw updates available for Samsung Epic 4G Touch and today the same updates have been delivered to Galaxy S II Epic 4G device.Sprint Galaxy S II Epic 4G

Galaxy S II Epic 4G users now can check on their device the availability of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update as this is available via over the air update starting from today, July 14. This update will be available to all the users until next month. Many of the users might receive the update notification on your mobile phone directly.

Sprint was available to provide the list of improvements and enhancements included the upgrade and we have listed some of them here –

  • User interface is simple, beautiful and useful
  • Face Unlock feature is introduced using the state of art facial recognition technology
  • Redesigned camera introducing the panorama mode picture capture
  • Powerful photo editor
  • Sync Google Chrome bookmarks
  • Google + integration
  • Improved keyboard functionalities with spell checker and improved copy and paste support
  • New Calender app
  • Redesigned Gmail app


Also apart from that we have news that Sprint will offer limited time period offer of “Buy one get one free” deal on Epic 4G Touch device which yesterday got the ICS update.

    Total BS – sprint hasn’t rolled out the ICS for the Epic 4G Touch in the St.Louis area yet, and based on their total avoidance of telling customers anything about ICS, I’m sceptical that we’re going to see it soon. So frustrated with Sprint over this.
