The news of LG Viper 4G arriving on Sprint hardly makes any surprises to us as this handset was spotted in January at CES 2012. Finally Sprint Wireless has announced this smartphone which would be eventually their first 4G LTE smartphone, though its took much time to come up with the launch but it would be eventually needed launch especially after Mobile World Congress. Announced by Sprint on Tuesday, representative from Sprint claims that LG Viper will provide the users with the 4G LTE technology with their unlimited data plans moreover this will come out with specialized Sprint tools pre-installed so that users can stay connected with the Sprint supports and it does become hassle free for them. Going through the specifications of this smartphone it comes with 4 inches WVGA display screen with ultra-thin design and remarkable performance even in direct sunlight. It comes with Corning Glass display protection providing extra resistance for your screen and keeps it scratch free. Its powered with1.2 Ghz dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM. It features good enough 5 mega pixel camera on the rear side to take photos with flash as well and has front facing VGA camera can be used for fun like face to face video chat and video calls. On top of that it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system but we are sure that this will some time or the other will receive the Android 4.0 ICS update which will eventually enhance the functionalists of this smartphone to a greater extent.
LG Viper 4G LTE comes with Near Field Communication i.e., NFC and this new feature allows users to make payments using the mobile devices at participating retailers and payment can be done using services like Google Wallet. Along with that all the LG Viper users will receive an additional 50 GB free cloud storage and sharing directly from LG which is estimated to be priced $ 240 per year but it’s completely free with the purchase of this phone and you have cloud storage to save your favorite files, music, photos and other memories. Expanding their 4G LTE cover to various cities like Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio users can enjoy the faster download and upload speed.
This comes with Eco friendly attributes like ULE Platinum certificate recognized by ULE and Sprint and this phone is made of 50 percent recycled plastics. The handset is wrapped with 4 GB internal memory and it comes with a micro SD card slot to expand the memory to up to 32 GB in size. Finally there are options of Wi Fi internet access and you can Wi Fi tether to up to five smartphones but with additional fee for sharing. Powered with 1700 mAh battery it provides 7 hours of talk time.
LG Viper 4G LTE smartphone is available for pre order from April 12 at a price of $ 99.99 and will be sold later this month from Best Buy and RadioShack with a new two years agreement with Sprint along with mail in rebate also applicable. This will be also sold in the Sprint stores obviously as they would be the first to receive it.
