Sprint Updates HTC EVO 4G LTE to Android 4.0.4 ICS Update

After many of the device launched at ongoing IFA 2012 fair, here we head to our regular stuff of firmware updates. Still many more devices are to be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. Improvements & Enhancements

Sprint for this update provided with the list of the updates. The following are the improvements and enhancements included in this update –

  • Browser no longer randomly closes from bookmarks
  • Minor Bluetooth fix
  • Latest Version of Google Wallet
  • Latest Version of Visual Voice mail
  • LTE Scanning Improvement

These updates are been pushed to the users via Over the updates. These updates are pushed slowly and it might happen that you don’t get update today, so please be patient and check back later. Please make sure that you are connected to Wi Fi when you are updating as the update file size will be large since this is a bigger update. Also you should backup your device so as to ensure that it can be applied when in case the updating to ICS fails.

Once when you are ready for the updates, you should go through Menu > Settings > About Phone and then tap on Software update. Now then tap on check now to connect your HTC phone to HTC servers to check the availability of the updates. Once you get the confirmation, follow on the on screen instructions to apply the updates.

Once when you are updated with the latest ICS version, you can check back the same by going through Menu > Settings > About Phone, where it will see full listing of all the details.
