Telus a Canada based network operator has a good run with HTC Desire HD and now as the 2.3.5 is out with most of the smartphones of HTC. Infact Telus might be the last operator to come out with Android 2.3.5 update. The HTC Desire HD users will be happy to receive this update on their phone which is available directly via OTA update.
Improvements & Enhancements
The following are the improvements and enhancements included the software update pack to 2.3.5 –

Along with those security updates, this upgrade to 2.3.5 Gingerbread brings the new version of HTC Sense 3.0 user interface. It also introduces the HTC Watch application which will allow you to rent or buy the latest movies and shows.
Since this is a official release of the OTA update, you will receive notifications directly on to your handset saying that updates are ready for your mobile phone and details of the update are included in the message. If you have received such notifications then you click on Install Now or Install Later option. Install Now option will update the software instantaneously and Install later will remind you daily of the update. Before proceeding with the firmware update you should make sure that you should backup contacts, SMS, call logs and phone memory storage files as it will be deleted during the process of the firmware update even though this is over the air. You can make use of the following applications to backup your files –
To manually check for the software update on your phone if you have not received any notification on your phone then you need to go to Home Screen and then tap on Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Update then click on the Update Android. Please make sure that you go through this update via Wi-Fi but not with the data plans set by your carrier.
