T-Mobiles Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Gets Android 4.0 ICS Update

As the IFA fair goes in Berlin, Germany with many devices launches on Day 1 and Day 2, it looks to be busy week. T-Mobiles in USA is busy in quickly updating their existing smart phone and tablets to the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS which is long pending. Earlier today, T-Mobiles have rolled out big update to Samsung Galaxy S II and furthermore the same update has been deployed to Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Plus, a Galaxy Tab 10.1 variant.Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ICS Tmobile

So Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 on T-Mobile gets updated to the Ice Cream Sandwich as it’s officially announced by T-Mobile. Unlike all the updates which goes through Over the Air, this update is been rolled out via the Samsung KIES the PC Suite for Samsung smart phones. Updates via OTA will be available in couple of weeks.

This update to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is released when the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is available and by updating with this, the Android version on your phone will be Android 4.0.4 but not 4.0.3, so direct jump. As we go through the list of improvements and features, it brings the regular Android 4.0.3 features with Face unlock and data management tools. These update in based on the T859UVLH6 software version. No change log was provided by T-Mobile about this update.

So if you want to grab this updates to your tablet and breathe a new life to it, just connect your tablet to the PC and open Samsung KIES, Now follow the on screen instructions to apply the updates. You should make sure that you have the latest version of the PC Suite been installed on your tablet or PC. You should take the backup of your device before updating your device and you should have atleast 50 % of battery life left on your tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update very soon but not ETA is been provided by Samsung.
