Facebook Lite, a new version of Facebook for Android that uses less data and works well across all network conditions was launched earlier this week. More than a billion people around the world access Facebook from a range of mobile devices on varying networks. In many areas, networks can be slow and not able to support all the functionality found in Facebook for Android. Facebook Lite was built for these situations, giving people a reliable Facebook experience when bandwidth is at a minimum.
The new app is less than 1MB in size, and includes the News Feed, status updates, photos, notifications and other bits and pieces familiar to users of the social network.

Hound Beta – Voice Search+
SoundHound, a developer better known for its music recognition app has launched a new app called Hound. It is a voice-based search system that aims to differentiate itself from other similar services by focusing on improved speech recognition and language processing, taking into account the context and details of what is being asked instead of relying on spoken keywords.
Standard voice search is available on the app, allowing users to query facts and figures, locations, news, and other typical searches, complete with the hands-free voice prompt “OK Hound.” Commands to control a device are also included, such as sending a text message or placing a phone call, while the company’s SoundHound recognition system also makes an appearance.

Imgur’s official app on Android up until now was a direct port of its iOS variant. But the popular website for funny images and gifs on Tuesday introduced a new Android app redesigned from the ground up for the platform. Imgur had earlier tested the app with 1,000 fans and mentioned the response from them was generally positive.
The design tweaks on the Android app includes a card-based gallery and easily accessible comments section. There is also a redesigned upload section that allows users to seamlessly upload photos from their device camera or library.

PES Club Manager
Konami has released their PES Club Manager game onto mobile devices, this week. The football management game tasks players with creating a small club and developing them into world-beaters. The game features over 5,000 licensed players and makes use of the PES 2015 console game engine for 3D match day elements.
This management game uses their Pro Evolution Soccer Console Game Engine for all the 3D elements in this release. This is the same engine that powers their PES 2015 title that was recently released.
