Minimum battery left in your Galaxy S3 I747 should be at least 50% so as to make sure that it doesn’t get turned off in the middle of firmware update. Disable all the antivirus suites in your computer and in your device. Download “ROM Manager” app from the Google PLAY Store and flash the clock work mod recovery.

Also, you will have to check on whether your phone is rooted or not with the application of “Root Checker” application. If it’s rooted then you will get the notification that the device is rooted. If it’s not rooted then you will have to root the same.

Hi,First of all, thanks for the very ifairmntove tutorial. I was able to root my Nexus S by following your steps on How to root NexusS . I’m now trying to install Cyanogen but after selecting the recovery it just displays yellow exclamation mark and nothing happens. Have you experience this and able to solve the issue? Although I was able to create a backup before trying to install the ROM. I was in Android 2.3.4 before rooting my phone. Unfortunately that’s all the information that I have.Thanks,/Vins

My phone is only a week old and this update didn’t work for me… I tried d/l the file twice, but no luck. Funny how it works for some and not others. Thank goodness for backups.

The sgh I747 model is the one used by Canadian carriers as well correct? I’m with Rogers and it says it’s the sgh – I747m. Will this update work?

This is not working, I have tried the 08/23 build and 08/22 build both abort when trying to load. google apps however loads just fine.

The install went flawless. I was up and running with JB4.1 in about 15 min. Thanks for the work you put into getting this out here for everyone like myself. I have not come across any problems yet but will keep you posted if there are any.
    a big thumbs up!!!
