How to Update Galaxy S PLUS GT I9001 with Cyanogen Mod 10 Firmware
SAMSUNG Galaxy S PLUS GT I9001 users can now benefit from the Cyanogen mod 10 firmware which ropes in the latest Cyanogen Mod 10 firmware and in the latest firmware update most of the bugs have been fixed, we have summed up all the things which work and which are still to be worked upon below. SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
With the help of ROM Manager too you should never backup the Current ROM as it may just brick the firmware. Ensure that you have a minimum battery charge left of around 40% or else your device may get turned off in the middle of firmware update. Head over to the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, enable the USB Debugging.
To check whether your galaxy S PLUS I9001 is rooted or not, download the “Root Checker” app from the PLAY Store.
