How to Update Galaxy S2 with ICS 4.0.4 based Resurrection Remix custom ROM firmware
Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 can now be updated with the latest ICS based Resurrection Remix custom ROM firmware as this is one of the best custom ROM firmwares as this one also comes with the latest version of Apex launcher and is based on the most stable base firmware. In the process of installing this resurrection custom ROM firmware, all the data in your device will be lost or corrupted, so ensure that you have backed up all the data present in your device so that if at all the data
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log –Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
Go to path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” & enable the USB Debugging Mode option by ticking on the same. Tap on “Ok” if you get any prompt. Ensure that the minimum battery left is >40% so as to ensure that the phone doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update.
