How to Update Galaxy S3 4G LTE I9305 with Official Jellybean 4.1.1 XXALI5 Firmware

S3 4GSAMSUNG Galaxy S3 I9305 smartphone which is an LTE powered Galaxy S3 is all set to debut in the month of October which comes with the LTE capability and gives a very tough fight for the latest IPhone 5 which was released by Apple last week. All thanks to Sammobile for coming up with a firmware leak even before the smartphone arrived and just in case if you are planning to buy this phone, then you can bookmark this article so that you can straightaway flash this firmware without waiting to get officially released. This firmware is dubbed as XXALI5 which is a Jellybean 4.1.1 firmware.

Though we don’t have an exact change log of the things which this one comes along, but all we can say is that this update comes with some enhancements. As of now it’s still not clear on whether it will be coming with ICS or jellybean 4.1 firmware out of the box. Most probably, the out of the box firmware version will be ICS Android 4.0.4 one.

So before we proceed, if you have any precious data in your phone then you will have to create a backup of the same so that just in case if the data gets corrupted or erased, the same can be restored with the help of below steps manually.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

Also, make sure that the battery level is above 40% so as to make sure that device doesn’t get turned off in the middle of firmware update. Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your phone. Please note that this firmware can only be applied by the users of I9305 latched on to the Optus Network. Also, install the KIES tool in your computer as it will ensure that all the drivers are installed in your computer as it will be required in the firmware installation process.

    The person who wrote this article does not have a clue about anything. This phone is already out in australia and it comes with Jelly bean out of the box You dont need to bookmark this stupid article because the I9305 has jellybean shipped with it
