Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Note is here with the latest ICS Android 4.0 firmware version but for all those who are having the former version of Galaxy Tab that is the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi Fi P7510 version, you need not get disheartened as in the due course of this article we will be checking out on how you can easily update your device with the ICS firmware and that too officially. As of now this update hasn’t been officially rolled out and is being slowly pushed starting with the select devices. The firmware version of this ICS build is UELPL and also this update comes as with lot of bug fixes and with major User interface changes which fall in place with the ICS update. SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
From the path “Settings > Applications > Development > KIES Mode”, enable the KIES Mode in your device. Also, ensure that the battery left in the device is at least 40% so as to make sure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update. Also, disable all the antivirus tools as well as firewall tools in your PC as these tend to interrupt the process of firmware update.
