AOKP which is the short form of Android Open KANG Project has now it has arrived for Samsung Galaxy tab 2 device. Rooting Information: For applying this custom ROM firmware, one has to Root their Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 device and once it’s rooted, the warranty will get void. Only way with which the warranty can be reclaimed is by re applying the update of Official ICS Android 4.0 firmware.
- Since the custom ROM firmware is to be installed, the device will have to wiped off completely so as to ensure that if there is no corruption of system data. We recommend you to back up all the data in your Galaxy tab 2 with the help of below steps and not with the PC Suites like KIES as it won’t support the custom ROM firmware laden Galaxy Tab 2.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
