I was trying to upgrade my incredible 2 to 2.3 gingerbread firmware, but while doing so per the guide, I was not able to continue because the rom manager does not have incredible 2 as one of the phones on its list. Any idea of how to resolve this?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the rom manager, but it still doesn’t show the droid incredible 2 as one of the phones; it does show the incredible S. Also, FYI, my phone is not rooted yet.

Should I choose the incredible S as my phone? Does my phone have to be rooted for me to be able to upgrade the firmware?
