How to Update HTC One V with ICS 4.0 MY One V Custom ROM Firmware
Procedure to Update HTC One V with my One V Custom ROM Firmware:
- Download the HTC my One V Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the downloaded zip file in your device. Disconnect the device and turn off the device so that it can be then entered in the recovery mode via the boot loader mode.
- Turn off the device so that it can be entered in the boot loader mode. The Boot loader mode in HTC One V can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. If the phone boots in the normal mode then try to enter into the boot loader mode again with the help of above mentioned method. Just in case if the ROM Manager is installed, you can enter by selecting the option of “Reboot into Recovery mode” in the ROM Manager app.
- Now, in the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the “my One V Firmware Package” which you placed in the device. After selecting the zip package, it will take around 4 – 5 minutes for applying this update.
- Once it’s updated, the device will be landing back in the recovery mode. Select “Go Back” and “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode.
Note: Just in a rare case if your HTC One V device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the HTC Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from the start.
