Procedure to Update HTC One X with MIUI Custom ROM Firmware:
- Assuming that you are on the latest version of Cyanogen mod 9 firmware, you can now proceed to apply this update.
- Download the MIUI Package from here to your computer. Once you download it, you need to also ensure that the ADB is installed in your computer.
- Now, connect your phone to the computer and then place the zip file in your device’s SD Card. Ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the sub folders or else it won’t be detected in the device.
- Now, you need to copy the boot.img file in your fastboot folder. Turn off the device so that it can be entered in the bootlaoder mode. The Boot loader mode in HTC One X can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. If the phone boots in the normal mode then you need to try again to enter into the boot loader mode.
- In boot loader mode, you now need to select the option of “fastboot” and then connect your phone to the computer with the help of original USB cable which you got at the time of purchase.
- Open the command prompt in your computer to enter the command mentioned below so as to ensure that the device is detected properly in your computer.

- Up next you need to enter the command as mentioned below so as to flash the MIUI custom ROM firmware in your computer.
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Now as soon as the update is successfully applied, you will see that the device will land up in the recovery mode.
In the recovery mode screen, select“++++ Go Back ++++” > “reboot system now” to reboot the phone. Please note that it will take more than normal time as it will be finalizing the installation.
Note: At any point of time just in case if the process of firmware update gets stopped due to any reason, all you need to do is restart the process from the start by re inserting the battery.
