How to Update Motorola Photon 4G with Cyanogen Mod 10 Jellybean 4.1 Firmware

Please note that this update is not officially released by Motorola but is an unofficial release of Cyanogen mod 10 version for Photon 4G. In the last few days we saw on how you can customize your device with the custom ROM firmwares and this adds up the list. All thanks to the XDA Recognized Developer jokersax11 who has come up with this update for Motorola Photon 4G. Unfortunately, there won’t be any stable release for the device of Jellybean but in the coming days we will surely be coming up with the updates.

With renowned name that it Cyanogen Mod, this update comes along with a host of features which range from voice recognition like Apple’s Siri, smarter keyboard, simple Jellybean user interface along with many other apps which are only limited to the Jellybean phones. Don’t apply this update on any other device as you need to first up check the model name from the path “Settings > About Phone”. Before proceeding to apply this update, you will have to root and unlock the boot loader in your device as without this you won’t be able to update the device.

Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

Minimum battery life left in your device should be >40% minimum or else it may get turned Off in the process of applying update. Also, enable the USB Debugging Option from the path “Settings > Development Options”.

    My coment is that I can’t find a way to root my mb855. PLEASE, help me locate one. I am actually begging. As it isn’t that I just want to root my phone. It is a mater of me needing to, for my families sake. The dbm here, is-85 at best. And we are 25 miles out in the az. Dessert. PLEASE HELP!
