    Problem solved.
I let battery drain then plugged into computer usb with original cable. Then holding down vol-up/vol-down button booted into google recovery mode.
Let it downloaded the latest firmware & installed ok.
Went to nexus Root toolkit & installed the new rom from there.
Had to intall the google apps zip agaim as it didn’t take the first time but now all is well.
The new firmware seems much faster, the screen touch response is better & everything else really Liquid Smooth.
A bit of a hastle but worth it in the end.

I followed the instructions as stated.
It is in a continuous loop with liquid crystal but gets no further. Long press only continues the process.
No boot, just the liquid crystal start.
I cannot just replace the battery, this is a Nexus 7, the thing is sealed. How do do I restart or re-apply?
Where do I go from here.

        Do the following stuff…….
        1. wipe data/partition
        2. wipe cache partition

Do this one only if the same problem persist after applying the above two stuff.
        3. wipe dalvik cache.

        Hope it helps.
