How To Update Samsung Galaxy FIT S5670 to Froyo XXKA6 2.2.1 Firmware
Last time we saw on how you can update your Samsung Galaxy Fit with the latest version of Gingerbread version 2.3.4 XXKPI , many of the users reported about some of the issues being encountered which ranged from non-working of camera and also issues related to the freezing of the phone. Please note that the procedure which we will see in the due course of this article. The version which we will be seeing on how to install is the XXKA6 Froyo 2.2.1 version which is the most stable Froyo version as of now. This version of firmware is for all who faced issues with the Gingerbread 2.3.4 version. Please note that if you are currently on the Android 2.3.4, then you can easily follow the instructions to come back to the version of XXKA6 Froyo version.
Please note that this update is not the official update and soon an all new update will arrive officially from the Samsung via KIES but the actual date of release is still unknown. Updating with this Android version doesn’t mean that you will be rooting the device as you will just be updating the device and hence it’s not rooting which we will be looking, you will not void the warranty in any case.
As this version of update is the leak version there will be some minor glitches which may come up with this firmware version but soon with the arrival of the official update, all the bugs will be solved and most importantly the bugs are of very minor intensity.
Note : You will have to reconfigure the APN settings after updating the firmware to access the data services and the Internet services as all the Internet APN settings will be reset. You will have to contact your Service provider to get more info on the APN Settings. Not to forget also configure the MMS Settings. Also, we hold no responsibility if anything goes wrong which is an unlikely event if anything goes wrong.

Dear Neel
Tell me wt is the best Froyo or Gingerbread.
My galaxy fit is updated with XWKQ2 gingerbread 2.3.4 .
If froyo is better so i convert to my phone to in Froyo 2.2.1.
I am waiting for your reply.
Gingerbread is better than Froyo! but since for your device officially GB hasn’t arrived, i would prefer you wait for sometime till GB arrives!
Thanks Neel
Also i am waiting for newer version from your end for updation.

is there any advantage to upgrade galaxy-fit, from froyo/utkc4 firmware 2.2.1 to some other version?
the new version will make every hardware of this model keep working well?
is there any risk involved in the upgrading procedure?

Hey Neal,
i tried the following versions on my Samsung Fit
ZCKP7 – this turned out to be chinese
XXKPI – this turned out to be a Korean or Russian not sure which one..
The Chinese version had some new features in the call receiving screen, think office and media hub etc. i liked this version.
The XXKPI i very good.. but the apps are the same when compared to my Froyo 2.2.1, only the UI has changed slightly (battery, fonts etc).. some new tones added, and my fone is real fast now.. but unfortunately.. i dont have the new apps i saw in ZCKP7.
could u let me know if there is an equivalent Indian or asian or english version with all these new apps as in the chinese on..(ofcourse without the chinese lang)
Looking forward to hear from ya..
Regards,
Linece.
