    Hi Neela,

I just wanted to ask if i have done something wrong. I have installed the XXJVU update and then rooted it as per instructions. I also cleared caches etc… I have noticed that the entire rom is quite sluggish. Its very, very slow to rotate sreen and pretty much appears to be a lag on everything. I have cleared the cache and have done the entire process of updating from scratch twice.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you :)

  35. DK1947IN says:

    Hi All,

I have applied this (ICS RC4.1) update on the stock ROM of Gingerbread 2.3.5, I just root that with CF root and rooted to recovery mode and form there installed from this downloaded zip file.

The phone is now working brilliantly every thing is working perfectly. But as faced some problem with MIC voice only when receiving calls, in this RC4.1 firmware this problem has been addressed to some extent because this issue is not coming for every call – only sometimes for some calls it may appear but fixes automatically after few seconds.

May be developers try to fix this issue separately….i needs this glicth fix else it is an awesome firmware.

    Thanks to the entire team.

  40. @DK1947IN – Same issue. Those who call us can’t hear our voice properly. Waiting for new update :(

  41. Mishulake says:

Then, your advice is to wait the RC5?

  42. Usman says:

    How it behave during update.

Because google and samsung sing along with installing is coming agian and again fore moer than 20 mins

  43. Leroy says:

Hey, Just followed all instructions, right now at the part where you said:

Select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” after which you will see that it will take around 15 – 20 minutes for applying this update. After this, you need to select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then select “reboot system now” to reboot the phone.

Did this, its currently applying the zip file, but it loops from a Google startup screen to the GT-i9000 startup screen, to the recovery mode. Is this supposed to happen? Or did something go wrong.

What to do now? Wait, or what?

  53. Angad Kumar says:

Yeah I had faced a similar issue with Cyanogen Mod 7.1.0 for Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 (SGS). The issue was sometimes when receiving a call (note not always) the other person, that is the caller in this case either could not hear my voice or hear my voice with echo or modulation, basically voice was unclear.
One solution I had when I used to press/toggle the mute/un-mute button and then everything would be ok.
You can try that. It might work.
Hopefully they solve this issue the in latter releases.

    • yes these issues will be addressed in the coming versions!

      • DK1947IN says:

        Hi

I am also facing the exact same issue in previous RCs this issue was with all call i receive in RC4.1 it is not for all calls but the issue still exits. I found the same solution just after picking the phone call you must toggle mute/unmute button i used to do that in 1 sec and WoW…!!! every thing works perfectly…

        Thanks
