How to Update Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 with DXLP9 ICS 4.0.3 Firmware
Looks like very soon, the premium Suite for Galaxy Note N7000 is on the cards and we will get more details about it very soon. The good news is that an all new version for Galaxy Note has arrived which is an ICS firmware version and is dubbed as DXLP9 firmware. Over a period of this article, we will be checking out the same on how to apply this update in your Note. This update has been rolled out via KIES Officially to select countries. As of now we are having no details on about the list of countries where this update has been pushed. Irrespective of the country you are from, you can apply this update manually by following this article.

Rooting Information: Applying this update will not ROOT or void the device. Just in case if you are on the rooted firmware, then after applying this update the device will get un rooted.
Caution: Don’t update any other model of Galaxy Note apart from N7000 with this update of ICS or else it may even brick the device.

- All the data in your device should be backed up with the help of below mentioned steps. Don’t use KIES to back up the data as it won’t detect the beta firmware or the leaked firmware.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Disable all the antivirus suites in your computer and uninstall the same in your device as these tools generally tend to interrupt the process of firmware update. You should have the admin rights in your PC along with the active USB ports with full read / write access.
- Minimum charge left in the device should be at least 70% so as to ensure that device doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update.
- Enable the USB Debugging in your Galaxy Note N7000 from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked as shown in the below screen capture.
